Hello my friends and family Hello :)

I love you all so much!! I am so blessed to have the friends and family that i do. Every night when i kneel down to say my prayers i get the chance to reflect on how blessed i am to know that i have such fantastic family friends back at home or in other parts of the world. Thank you for all your love and prayers :) I know for a surety that Heavenly Father answers prayers.

This week all the days seemed to blend together. I am having a hard time remembering everything that happened.....

Oh okay so last week we felt that we should go and knock on some doors down this street. Not the most effective way to do missionary work but we do what we can. Not everyone was home but as we left one of the houses i told sister Blackburn that we needed to come back here another day. So on Monday evening we went back to that house and the lady that lives there is super humble and she told us that she wanted us to come back. She is going through some rough times with her kids and her son has a very strong resentment toward God. Which is so sad considering her son is only 14 but he has had some very special people in his life pass away. Which is sad that he is mad at God about it but i know that if he will listen to the spirit as we share the gospel with him it will bring so much peace to him.

My companion and I seem to make really good friends with a lot of old men. Haha! There is this one old man that we met a while ago. He is pretty set in his ways. He doesnt have much desire to change. But we decided to go see him and see if he has softened up a little at all... he hasnt... but as we were walking down the road we saw him riding up the road in his little electric wheel chair and he told us that he has been looking for us. He said he was riding all over the place looking for us cause he hadnt seen us in a while. He is the sweetest guy! It made me laugh a little though to think of him riding in his wheel chair around town looking for us. :)

Gods grace this week... we have been teaching this young couple who have very interesting beliefs as far as religion. The young man has very little belief in God. But we have committed him to pray and just ask if God is there. Last night when we met with him we asked him how he felt as he prayed. He says that he feels super calm. HE IS FEELING THE SPIRIT!!!! Yay!! We were so happy to hear that. Holy cow i know that God answers our prayers.

I love my Heavenly Father and i know he has great things in store for each of us. I know families are forever. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and he carries us through each day. I love you all so so much. And you are all in my prayers each day. Keep staying strong! I love you!!!

I dont even know what to title this one :)

My dearest family and friends,

Just let me tell you about this week. haha it has been quite the week. I am just thankful Heavenly Father watches out for all his children. On wednesday morning we were on our way to interviews and we got in a car accident. Luckily it was just our car and we just hit a sign. The miracle of it was that the sign post we hit was rotting so it just knocked over but unfortuantely it took off our front bumper. Talk about adreneline rush. It was just not good. So that was our crazy adventure for the week.

Now for the fantastic miracles! We have been trying to hit the standard that was set for our mission. Last night (being the last night of the week) we needed one more lesson to teach and we needed one more new investigator to hit our goal that we had set. So we were walking in this neighborhood and said a prayer. I told Heavenly Father that we needed one more lesson and one more new investigator. I told him i would open my mouth if he would please just help me with the words to say and someone to say them to. So as we were walking there was this guy painting his door so we asked him if he would like some help. He said no and told us the story of why he was painting his door. Then his wife came outside so we started talking to her. We small talked for a while and then we talked about the gospel and why we were there and such. We got a return appointment and two new investigators. It was so awesome. It felt so natural talking to them. I know it was Heavenly Father answering my prayer in helping us know what to say.

The mission is not the easiest thing in the world but it is so possible. Everyday is another day to learn and to grow. There is this song we listen to in the car and it says (quoting from the scriptures) "They put to death every nephite that would not deny the Christ and i Moroni will not deny the Christ" I think that is so powerful. We as members of the church are becoming a more and more peculiar people. Sometimes it can be hard to stand up for what we know is right. But i promise you that life will be much more rewarding if you will always stand on that firm foundation and never ever deny the Christ. Always stand up for your God and your Savior. It is truly because of him that we are able to go through this life and learn and grow. I am so thankful for my Savior and i know he lives. He loves each and every one of you. Stay strong and know you all are in my prayers :) I love you!!

What a week :)

Holy cow what a week it has been. :) Keep smiling though that is what i keep telling myself :) How is everyone doing? I hope all is going well.

We had a very interesting day the other day. We went down this one road and the road only had a couple houses on it. We knocked on both of the doors... well we found out one is a Jew... and the other was a greek orthadox... That is something new. It was kinda cool though.
Sister Davis & Sister Blackburn
We had an awesome experience on Saturday. We were going to visit one of our investigators but they werent home so we started walking down the road and we stopped to knock on a door. Before we could even get to the door to knock this lady walks out and with a big smile on her face asked us how we were doing. She told us that she saw us walking down the road and was so excited to see us walking up her driveway. We talked for a little bit about her family and before we could even ask her if we could come and teach her more she told us that she was interested in learning more. So we got her address cause she was at her parents house. Well later when we plugged her address into the gps we found out that she was just barely out of our area. So we told the elders in her area about her as we got talking they had said they received a mormon.org referral with that same name and same address. It was so meant to be! So we all went over there yesterday. She wasnt there when we got there but her grandpa was so we all talked to him for a bit. We found out that they took a trip a couple years ago to utah to "visit the big church out there". haha that is what the grandpa said. We were like "Oh really" I learned so much from watching the way those elders interacted with him. It is amazing the things we learn each day out here.  Sister Blackburn and i eventually had to go but the elders stayed there to wait for her to show up. Later we got a call from them and they said she showed up and was so excited to see them. They said that they are super excited to start teaching her and her family.

We were reading the book of Mormon with one of our investigators the other day and we commited her to pray and ask God if it is all true. She said she would and then when we came back we asked her how it went and if she got an answer... She told us she felt a little silly asking God if it was true because she already knew it was true because of the feelings she got when we read. That, my friends, is how the spirit works. It was absolutely amazing. I love those feelings of the spirit. I am so grateful to have the knowledge of the gospel that i have. I am grateful to share it with the people around me. I know this gospel is so true. I know the book of Mormon is true and i know without a doubt more than i ever have before that my family will be together forever because of the covenants that were made in the temple. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. Thank you for all your love and support. I love you all so so much! Stay strong and know you are all in my prayers :)

Sending love from Indiana! :)

My dearest family and wonderful friends! I love you all so so much!

I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July! We had a great time. A whole bunch of missionaries got together at a park and we drew a big picture of the Plan of Salvation and then as people came to the park for fireworks we talked to them about it. It was so awesome. I will send some pictures home :)

We also had a zone meeting this week. It was fantastic. Our leaders are so inspired. It is so amazing how you can go to a training and it is exactly what you need at that time. We talked a lot about inviting people to be baptized and how Satan works at us. They also talked about how royal we as children of God are. We each are so special to him and he loves each of us. We each have something to accomplish on this earth and that something is something great. I hope each of you know that.

So this week we had a great lesson with on of our investigators. He is a Buddhist... well he is kinda a Buddhist. He used to live in Arizona and worked with a whole bunch of Mormons. He has read the book of mormon and he says he knows it is true he is 81 years old and says that he doesnt think he wants to change but has seriously thought about being baptized. He told us that if he was to become a Christian he would be Mormon. Haha he is a character :)

We had a neat experience the other day. We were trying to find a member to fellowship one of our investigators and so i was praying and asking Heavenly Father who would be a good fellowshipper for our investigator. As i was praying this name popped into my head and it was someone who we had never asked to come with us before to an appointment. So we gave her a call and after we explained the investigators situation to her she was the perfect match. It was so awesome. I cannot testify to you enough that God truly hears and answers our prayers!

Okay and one last story, we were in a place called hidden valley yesterday. We cant proselyte in there so we were just visiting some members but anyway this random girl came up to us and was like are you missionaries? and we were like yeah and she was like "oh my goodness i just love missionaries half of my family is mormon can i just give you a hug?" haha it was so funny i wish everyones reaction was like that when we knocked on their door ;)

Well i best get going. Sorry this was a tad bit short. Stay strong and know that i love you so so much!!

Love your sister Davis :)
