I just love you all!! :)

How are my dearest family and friends? I just want you all to know that I love you so much!! You are all in my prayers :)

We have had quite a fun week. We saw so many miracles. We had our zone conference this week. It was absolutely wonderful. President Porter talked about the power of our minds. It is amazing the power the mind truly has. Satan also works with our minds to try and make us believe that we aren't nearly as good as we think we are. But we each have a divine potential to one day become as our Heavenly Father. We are each special and we each have great things to accomplish here on earth. That is why we are here. The things that we have to experience here on earth are only for us to learn from. I invite you all to jump onto lds.org and look up the Mormon message called the will of God. That is my absolute favorite Mormon message. It brings the spirit so strong and just strengthens the testimony of knowing that we are children of God and we do have something miraculous to accomplish.

I have learned a lot this week. It was kinda a rough week. Things seemed to being going really slow and we had some moments of disappointment. But those moments we can now look back on and realize how much the Lord was truly putting us where we needed to be at that time. On Thursday we had some time where the things we had planned fell through and our backups fell through so we were out standing by the side of our car just outside our apartment deciding and thinking about where we should go and this young couple walked out and we all started talking to them. The young man on the couple was telling us of how he used to be and atheist and just recently found God. They were so much fun to talk to and super prepared. We set up a return appointment and went back on Friday. It was fantastic! There were also moments this week that we had only like ten minutes left in the day and we are asked to not go in until 9pm so it was like 8:50 and we knew there was something miraculous for us to do. So we decided we were going to find an 8:59 miracle. So we went and knocked on this door and the person opened it and we talked for a bit and they told us that we could come back and so we set a return appointment and got a new investigator. Man it was just so awesome.

Another fantastic thing that happened this week is we got to fix breakfast for some of the Bright Fire department. We have this member that volunteers at the fire department and he asked us to come and fix breakfast and share a message with the firemen. It was so fun. Brother Page (The guy that works there) asked us to make omelets and bacon haha well I thought I knew how to make omelets but... they quickly turned into scrambled eggs instead haha. We only set the smoke detectors off twice. They must be super sensitive at the fire department or something. But it was fun :) Then we got to share the message of the restoration with them and a couple of them even agreed to meet with us again and talk about it some more. So this week Brother Page is going to have a bbq at his house with them and we will be there too. It will be awesome.

I am so happy to be a missionary at this time in my life. I feel like I have learned so much and each week is another opportunity for me to learn something new and grow closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior. I know he is watching over us all. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family and wonderful friends. Thank you for all you all do for me. I love you so much!!!
Love your sister Davis :)

More and more Miracles! :)

My dear family and friends!!! :)

How are you all doin? I sure love you guys and i sure miss you all but i know that this is where i am supposed to be at this point in time and i am so grateful for all the love and support that i get from each of you. Your prayers and letters of encouragement are so helpful and i look forward to hearing from  you! :)

This week was just full of fun! We had a district meeting this week and it was super awesome. But then we went out to lunch afterwards as a district and we had so much fun eating as a group of missionaries. It is so much fun to just chill and have a great time with all the other missionaries.

We had a really funny accident last week. We were teaching a less active a lesson on faith. I dont know if any of you have seen the tea bag lesson but what you do is talk about faith and set a certain type of tea bag in their hand and ask them if they have faith that we wouldnt hurt them... then you light the bag on fire and right before the flame hits their hand the tea bag floats away... well we were giving that lesson outside and we set the tea bag in his hand an lit it on fire well then the wind blew and tipped it over. The less active didnt say much so we figured it wasnt burning him or else he would drop it... so we left it on his hand... really we just didnt know what we were supposed to do at that point it was all happening so quickly. Then he was like um that is pretty hot but by that time it had burned out and he started laughing and we started laughing. Needless to say it is a good thing he had a good attitude about us burning him.

Cole's Baptism
We got to experience a really neat baptism yesterday. So there is this lady in our ward and her husband is not a member of the church and he doesnt want anything to do with it. She has an 8 year old boy and a 7 year old little girl. Well she wanted her son to be baptized but she wanted approval from the dad before she went ahead and did it. She was super nervous to ask him but she took a step of faith and did it anyway. At first he wasnt for it but in the end he told her he knew how much it meant to her so he was okay with it. So her son was able to be baptized yesterday after a lot of prayers from many people. The spirit was super strong there and it was so cool cause in his confirmation blessing it talked a lot about him being an example to his dad and his dad eventually will come around. It was so amazing. The dad wasnt there but we keep praying that his heart will be softened. The lady has a super powerful testimony and just loves the gospel. You can see it in her countenance. She just glows :)

I know this gospel is so true i know that it has been restored in all of its fullness here on earth. I know that through it we can be eternal families and receive the highest degree of glory in the celestial kingdom and how grateful i am for that. I know we each have something spectacular to accomplish here on earth. I love each of you so much and you are all in my prayers. :)

Love your sister Davis :)

Gods Grace!! Companion Sister Wight, Pocatello Idaho

Sister Palmer & Sister Davis

two of my best friends i have made on my mission!!
I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. I love you guys so much and i am so thankful for all the love and support i receive from you all!!

This week was so fantastic. The first week in the new transfer. This is my sixth one. Holy cow i think the time is starting to fly by.

Sister Davis & Sister Herndon
So my funny moment for the week. We were outside walking around and talking to people and we stopped to talk to this young man and we were talking and all the sudden we heard the ice cream truck. He asked us if we wanted an ice cream... considering it was pretty hot outside we did not deny that offer so he bought us an ice cream from the ice cream truck and he agreed to a return appointment to learn more about the gospel. So we got and ice cream and a new investigator all in one swoop :)

My new companion is so fantastic. She has so many new, great ideas to help the people here.  Something that we have been doing is singing to people. haha i am not a very good singer but it is fun and it is amazing how the spirit is still able to touch the peoples hearts even with my squeaky voice singing ;) All i can do is smile though while we are singing but maybe the more we do it the better our voices will sound... i dont know it is just a thought. The other thing we have been using more of is mormon messages. It is amazing how powerful those short little 2 minute videos are. My favorite one right now that we have been sharing is the one about the current bush. It is called the will of God on lds.org. If you guys get a chance you should totally check it out. It is so amazing. It reminds us that God has an even greater purpose for us here on earth. He has so much for each of us to accomplish. I love my Heavenly Father so much and i am learning to put my trust in him more. We had the stake patriarch come and give a fireside on patriarchal blessings. It was amazing what he shared about them. I truly know that our patriarchal blessings are to help us better understand who we are in Gods eyes. It truly helps us have a vision on what we want to accomplish in this live and the life after. It helps us set goals and gives us something to strive for. He quoted Alice in Wonderland "If you dont kow where you want to go it doesnt matter which path you take" Our patriarchal blessings help us to know where we want to go and what we want to strive to accomplish. Something that my mission presidents wife challenged me to do at the begging of my mission is to take my patriarchal blessing and read it and write all the "I am's" write down everything that your blessing says you are. Then write down all the "I will's" write down everything that your blessing says you will do or accomplish. Then write down the "I wont's" write down the warnings your blessing gives you. I would challenge those of you that have them to do that. You get a totally new perspective of who you are and what you are to become and what path God has layed out for you.

I will just close this week with my testimony. I know that my savior lives. I know he loves us and carries us through everyday. He knows us personally. I know that he has provided us a way to return to live with him and it is through the restored gospel on the earth. It is through that restored gospel and power of the priesthood that we can be a family forever and live together in the eternities. I love you guys so much!!! You are always in my prayers. Stay strong :)

Love your sister Davis :)

Notes from Mom: I just want to echo Sister Davis words on the love and support you have all sent our way.  I'm so thankful for supporting family and friends who love us.  This has been the hardest thing I have ever done but knowing that Kirsten is working hard to spread the gospel and learning so much I wouldn't want her to be doing anything else.  Her strength, obedience, determination and testimony has grown.  Thank you for your constant prayers, letters and love.

Stayin in Indiana! :)

A turtle we found on the road.
My dearest family and friends,

Oh my how i love you all so so much!!

Us and the sister training leaders :)
Sister Blackburn, Sister Farr, Sister ?, Sister Davis
This week has been great. We are teaching this Buddhist guy. He is 81 years old and i just love him. He is amazing. He worked with a whole bunch of members when he lived in Arizona... (i cant remember if i have already wrote home about this or not. The weeks just kinda blend together) But anyway He knows so much about the church. His wife passed away about 12 years ago. When we first started teaching him he was like there is no way that i will change. I am too old and such and such. But we told him to start reading the Book of Mormon again (because he has already read it once.) and his heart totally softened. Now he says i will eventually be baptized... the next step is to get him to say i will be baptized haha but it will come. He just needs to keep reading. The Book of Mormon is so powerful. I know that little book is so true.

My district
I had an awesome study this morning and i want to share what i learned through the spirit with all of you. I was actually studying about the spirit in Preach my Gospel. It was talking a lot about how we need to rely on the Lord when we are making decisions but to also make decisions and trust our decisions and trust that the Lord will let us know if that decision is not the right one. There was a quote from Dallin H Oaks that said "Personal decision making is one of the sources of growth we are meant to experience in mortality" I love that quote and that is something that i definately have had to learn on my mission. I was given a blessing at the beginning of my mission and in the blessing it said to converse with the Lord but not in all things. At first that really confused me but now i get it. The Lord teaches us the things we need to know and then he trusts us that we will make the right decisions from what we have been taught. Of course he wont let us travel off the path without letting us know but he does trust that we can make the right decisions. Thank goodness for the atonement of Jesus Christ so that when we dont make the right decision we can be forgiven and learn from what we did. But that was my revelation that i received from my studies. :)
The fantastic Baumgardner Family :)

Okay and this is just for my dad :) haha and all you other hunters that this is getting sent to. We were on our way home from the church on Wednesday and I saw three buck deer running up the hill. It was awesome and i instantly thought of my dad :) oh man good times :)

Beautiful Indiana sunsets :)
Something funny that happened haha we were at a members house getting ready to eat dinner and i was playing with one of the little kids and i think one of the other little kids got jealous and came over and hit me right in the bum. The poor little girl got in trouble. I thought it was funny that she did that but then i felt bad that she got in trouble. Her mom made her apologize to me... it was just rough haha.

But things are going good here. I hope all is going well back at home and i hope you all know that you are in my prayers. One more good quote... "Ordinary people who do right before God will bring forth extrordinary results."

We are all ordinary people but as we do right before God we will all do extrordinary things :)

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Love your sister Davis :)
